Manage the size and supported exit protection of an open position.
Confirm the account, symbol, signed quantity, and working protection. Wait for market and instrument data.
An instructional video will be added here to illustrate how to properly utilize position management controls.
Close immediately submits an opposite-side market order for the authoritative full quantity. To reduce, submit a smaller opposite-side order from the matching ticket: sell to reduce a long or buy to reduce a short.
In Positions, choose TP, SL, or the P&L cell. Enter a positive dollar or price value, then select Set TP, Set SL, or Set OCO and verify the orders.
Drag a supported working target or stop line on the matching chart to a valid price, then confirm the updated price in Open Orders.
Accepted fills reduce or close net quantity. Protection appears in Open Orders and can form an OCO relationship.
Close actions use market execution and can partially fill or execute away from the displayed price. A larger opposite-side fill can reverse the position. Protection can reject or fail to fill, and a manual reduction can leave oversized exits. Confirm the account; simulated trading does not remove evaluation or live risk later.
If a position remains, check for a partial fill or rejection.
If protection quantity is wrong, modify or cancel the working exit.
If a set control is disabled, enter a valid value and wait for metadata.
