Before you practice or start an evaluation, make sure you are working in a non-live account. The account selector labels each account by type and status, and every order, position, and history view in the terminal is scoped to whichever account is selected.
At least one account must be assigned to your Tradara identity.
Complete market-data onboarding if the instrument you want requires it.
Know which account you intend to use and the rules attached to it.
Open Accounts and open the account selector.
Find the account by its name, provider, firm, type, and status. The selector can show Eval, Practice, Trial, Sim funded, Live funded, or Live.
Choose a simulated type such as Eval, Practice, Trial, or Sim funded. Do not use a Live or Live funded account when your intent is simulated trading.
Select an account marked Active. A failed or locked account cannot accept new trading activity.
Review the displayed equity, Open P&L, Day P&L, and applicable loss metrics. Evaluation accounts can also show Profit Target.
If you used search or Filters, clear them when an account you expect is hidden.
An instructional video will be added here to illustrate how to properly utilize a simulated trading account.
Confirm the selected trading account again immediately before submitting an order.
Verify the instrument, Quantity, order type, and side in the Order Ticket.
After submission, use Open Orders, Order History, and Positions with the same account still selected. Those views follow the selection, so a different account shows different activity.
Simulated execution, balances, and P&L do not represent real-money results or guarantee future outcomes. Evaluation and simulated-funded accounts can still enforce daily loss, maximum loss, position, and trading-hour rules, and practicing in simulation does not remove the financial risk or the stricter controls you may face on a live account later.
No accounts available.: confirm that an account has been assigned to your Tradara identity.
No accounts match your filters.: clear the search, provider filters, and status filters.
A Failed or locked status: read the displayed reason and choose another eligible account. Do not try to work around the rule.
If the wrong account appears after you navigate, reopen Accounts, reselect the intended account, and confirm it again before submitting.
